Where is Nvu in Ubuntu Feisty?

I recently tried to install one my favorite HTML editors, Nvu, from the Ubuntu repositories and realized that it had been removed. If you’re unfamiliar with Nvu, it is a visual web authoring system similar to Dreamweaver. Unfortunately, using “apt-get install nvu” will leave you high and dry. In previous versions of Ubuntu this command installed Nvu. Unfortunately, that command now fails. I haven’t been able to figure out why it was pulled. Do any of you out there know why Nvu got axed? Please share in the comments.
Anyway, if you are trying to find a .deb package for Nvu, fear not because Planet Malavsia has compiled a page.

NVU was too buggy, Kompozer is being developed after this.
KompoZer to replace Nvu

[…] Jonas Bark brought to my attention that KompoZer will replace Nvu. After checking out Jonas’ comment and then hitting up the Debian forums, it appears that Nvu hasn’t been updated in a very long […]

It’s nice that they want to add something better, but “aptitude install kompozer” gets me nothing at the moment, either. Truth be told, there are NO WYSIWYG web editors in Feisty–considering this, they really should have left Nvu in there. There’s Amaya, I guess, but as far as I can tell that program is so buggy it’s completely useless. Thanks for the info on where to find a good Nvu package!!

Well, I just have to say that “Who owns the Operating System” is the final user, not the LINUX Developers, they have to let the final user decide if want or not to install such program, and advise about the risks about it!

Sure, I have Kompozer installed on my system and it succeeds NVU and it is a Debian Package,
I mean you have to previously download it
from the mirror site ( http://www.getdeb.net/release.php?id=873 ), this is a 9Mb file , and install it, by clicking!
Again, that’s pretty easy!

How did the KDE team get the green light for the replacement Nvu? Kombozer is a KDE application. Why didn’t they take Quanta and make it a WYSIWYG instead of adding another item their already bloated lineup of K-stuff?
When is Adobe gonna get a clue and start porting DW, GoLive or Flash to *nix .. wooHoo!
