Testing Drivel
Right now I am typing this blog entry using Drivel, a blog client for Linux. It could connect to my LJ account as well as this blog of mine. I know that Drivel existed since I started using Linux but I recall not being able to post properly on my WordPress-powered blogs so I stopped using it. Now I am giving it another try and see if I’d actually like it a lot. It beats having to type my posts in a text editor because I could save this as a draft anyway then post it via Drivel too.
So far, so good. It’s mainly a box with the important fields needed for blogging. Blog entry title/subject, entry, category. I guess that the dilemma here is if you want to schedule blog posts in advance. Oh well. I suppose it’s not so bad if you’re not the type to blog in advance to be posted on another day. :)
LiveJournal users will probably enjoy using this as a client because it also loads your user pictures, friends, community blogs, etc. And that’s really something nifty, if you ask me because it makes it easier for me to select the images and mood icon I want for certain blog entries. :D
