Spread the Linux love this Feb 14~!
Some call it Single Awareness Day, but February 14 is typically known as Valentine’s Day. If you’re not sure what gift you could give to your friends, it’s Linux! ;) Hehehe. Well, I am not kidding. This is especially for your friends who are cramming for their papers in school or those who are on a budget and want to assemble a computer for home use. (Maybe even the low price of the Asus EEE is still too much for some and rely on the refurbished computers/computer parts.) Linux might be a great gift to give them even if you’re a newbie yourself. After all, you’d be one person who knows what things a new Linux user would need — just make sure your hardware specs are the same so you won’t hit so many snags.
If you’re not a new Linux user and are reading this, why not set aside time to help out those around you who need your expertise in setting up Linux? :D You’re probably the one who could answer their questions and fix their problems. Maybe you and your friends could have a movie marathon showing movies licensed under the Creative Commons. ;)
