Setup your own FTP Server with vsftpd in Debian
Debian Admin has a very detailed guide demonstrating how to setup vsftpd. vsftpd is an ftp client that self-proclaims, “[vsftpd is] probably the most secure and fastest FTP server for UNIX-like systems.” The guide at Debain Admin is relatively simple, however it only demonstrates the process using the terminal (no screenshots). If you are new to Linux, this would be a very good opportunity to get comfortable with the terminal and learn how to use it more effectively.
