Scared of dual booting?

by George Bunyan on October 12th, 2006

I just noticed an article on digg about dual booting anxiety, and I thought it was worth a mention.

The majority of ‘user friendly’ linux distrobutions will tend to automatically detect windows installations and do everything automagically(TM). So a general rule is simply to make sure that windows is installed before linux and all should be well.

If you have already got a drive with no room for linux partitions you can use GParted to resize the partitions in a very simple way. If your distrobution install cds do not provide GParted you can still use the GParted LiveCD.

A passing thought by George Bunyan
