Nifty weather wallpaper for you

by Clair on December 19th, 2007

Thanks to nixternal’s blog entry, here’s a link to a nice weather wallpaper for you. The name of the app: Weather Wallpaper. How direct can you get? ;)

As the site says, it works like this:

The program will retrieve the weather report from NOAA and create a wallpaper with the information for the default location: Getafe, Madrid, Spain. To change it to your current location, right click on the status icon and select preferences, where you can specify the ICAO Location Indicator for your city and select the unit system you want to use.

So there. No need to wonder what the weather is going to be like. Especially here in the Philippines because it somehow feels like the rainy season when it shouldn’t be.

The app has packages available for the following distros: Debian, Ubuntu, and other .deb using distros; Archlinux and Gentoo. There’s also a tar.gz file for other distros.
