KDE on Windows
If you’re thinking on how to spread your Linux love to friends who are staunch Windows users, you could try using KDE on Windows. There’s a project which allows KDE4 to run on Windows. Sounds cool huh? Apps which are packaged include the educational apps as well as tools like Umbrello and Kate. (I might be biased towards Gnome but I’ve also used Kubuntu for a time so I know that there are really cool KDE apps which could wow your Windows using friends. Amarok is definitely one of them! ;))
Installing it might not be totally painless but so far there are no known issues. I hope that you will have a great time with it. :D For more details check out the project page on kde.org ;D

The andLinux project is very interesting, too. I use Amarok through it.

Well I am not a big KDE fan (I like Xfce) but the thought is intriguing. I have seen a couple of alternate desktops for MS Windows and none are as cool as KDE. Maybe this should be the trend, that the desktop (the part the user uses) is flexible and changeable and the OS is transparent and virtually unnoticed, Oh wait, that sounds like Linux. KDE rocks on MS win, what a thought! I will check this out.

Well, well, I am not amused. In fact I am disappointed. I have mistakenly thought KDE was being ported over to MS Windows. It is only the ability to use KDE apps on MS Windows, what’s the point? This move adds confusion and doesn’t improve MS Windows one bit.
