Install Ubuntu Feisty in OS X using Parallels

by Kyle on April 29th, 2007

The Simple Help weblog has an extremely detailed tutorial that demonstrates how to install Ubuntu 7.04 in OS X using Parallels. Earlier this week I demonstrated how to install Ubuntu using the free (and beta) VMWare Fusion. If you’re a fan of Parallels, this tutorial should get you up and running very quickly. There are some unresolved errors with getting Parallels to run the latest release of Ubuntu. This tutorial demonstrates a work around to getting Ubuntu to work by “tricking” parallels into thinking that it is Solaris. The tutorial includes 33 screenshots to help you along the way. The tutorial is perfect for a new user.
