Icon sets for your Linux desktop
Want something nice and usable on your desktop? Use a new set of icons to help you figure out what files you’ve got, what applications are on your system. There are times I couldn’t figure out what icon to use when creating launchers sometimes but when I do, they look good. And I could easily identify them applications from each other.
Cats Who Code posted about 10 icon sets for you to choose from. You could actually find a whole lot of them on kde-look.org and gnome-look.org :)
You could get so hooked on to changing the look of your desktop. Sometimes you want everything to match or have that certain look and feel, no matter which aspect of the desktop. Maybe a penguin theme or a floral theme with shiny icons on the desktop? Everything is up to you and how you find things in these two sites.
Aside from icons, you could also get new log in screens. If you find the one installed by default as something too boring or plain, just download the package and install it when you’re fiddling around with your desktop’s preferences.:)
