This page gives a guide to the various different linux pronunciations. I use the second version, ‘linnuks’, however most people I know say ‘lynuks’. Don’t worry, if like me you cannot decipher pronunciation keys it includes audio clips for the different pronunciations!

I have also noticed the variations in the pronouciation of Linux! I myself agree with you and say ‘Linnuks’however several friends say it the other way! I’m glad i am not the only person to have noticed!
