Lookie! Another Linux-based phone. This time it’s a Motorola A810.
I wish I could see more of these things locally. Well, and support for them as well. So far, there are reports from the FCC as to the specs of the phone and the pictures as well.
I’ve tried one of the Linux-powered […]

And yes, the servers will be hammered by requests of people wanting to download the ISOs.
So use the mirrors, ok? :D
If you need a cheatsheet on the commands you might need, you could check out yesterday’s post and if you want to think about how you should partition and mount your Windows partition if you’re […]

Get the Ubuntu Cheatsheet from FOSSWire.
Really important commands especially for newbies. They even included sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg is included in the cheatsheet. Plus keyboard shortcuts to restart X. Hah! I wish I got this cheatsheet much earlier. I learned those commands the hard way — helped me out but now you could see them […]

After reading the articles on Computerworld and the Inquirer, I felt disappointed. Why? Because it seems that the OLPC team is backing off from their original plans. They are now thinking about using Windows XP instead of Linux on the OLPC. Uh… Hey, that’s so weird, dude!

Even HP has a new line of laptop for school kids. The laptop is called Mini-Note, which makes sense for something as small as a machine measuring 8.9 inches diagonally. It sounds like HP is following the footsteps of the OLPC and Asus. Like the Asus EEE, it has no optical drive […]

As an analyst, I work with data about people and their systems. One of these aspects involves usability. And even if I don’t use KDE and KDE apps much I still feel in awe of the Plasma project’s aim. User profiles are not easy to figure out and it does take time […]

My Lenovo C3000 N100 has a fingerprint scanner and it works perfectly fine in Windows (it was shipped with Windows XP Home). I haven’t been able to use this feature in Linux. There was a time that I tried to read more about it but I ended up not trying to make it […]
