Answering Novice Shell Questions

The Sys Admin magazine has an article outlining the specific questions that are typically asked by the Linux beginner about the terminal. The article answers the following questions:

How do you use the exec and eval commands?
How do you combine files using the paste command?
How do you process a string in a shell script one character at a time?
How do you delete a file accidentally named “-”?

This guide is helpful even if you’re not a shell novice. I’ve learned quite a bit from the tutorial.
